IMAT's panel discussion on exporting and the newmedia industry, Export Strategies, was one of our most timely events. As the newmedia industry in Canada matures companies will find it increasingly necessary to expand into new markets. Our panel members provided information on all aspects of exporting in relation to our industry, and analysis of some of the programs, problems and opportunities available to newmedia comapanies.

Paul has succeeded in four different pursuits. After graduating from Ryerson's Radio Television Arts he started Chato Art Ink, one of Toronto's most successful independent design firms. He then took up comedy, helping to form the now legendary Frantics Comedy Troupe, playing Mr. Canoehead, "Canadašs aluminum-headed crime fighter." Paul left and joined the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation rising up to the position of Head of TV Comedy where he played a key role in "Kids in the Hall." In 1989, Paul started Electramedia and has since created the internationally successful CD-ROM game "Jewels of the Oracle," hundreds of corporate presentations, videos and Internet sites. Presently, Paul and company are concentrating their efforts on the Internet and web-based content management.
Clients include Mercedes-Benz Canada, JDS Uniphase and DaimlerChrysler AG. Electramedia recently received the "Best Security Product Award" at Comdex Fall 2001 for the AccessArmor product.
Raja Khanna

Raja is the founder of Snap Media. As President, CEO & CCO, Raja leads Snap Media's expertise in rich media and story-driven design, guiding our mandate to develop creative and strategic integrated online solutions. Raja is recognized as an authority on the subject of all-platform entertainment, and the creation and production of innovative forms of integrated content. He has been a speaker at the Banff Television Festival, Baddeck New Media Festival, AIMS Canada, OMDC's 6 Degrees of Integration, Convergence iTV and Convergence 2001, among others.
He is a guest lecturer at Sheridan College and the Canadian Film Centre's Habitat program. Raja is the Executive Producer of such award winning online properties as Degrassi.tv, Riverdale (An Interactive Soap Opera), MadeInCanada.ca and FranklinTheTurtle.com.
Catharine Devlin
President and CEO / Devlin Applied Design
Catharine is the founder, President and CEO of Devlin Applied Design. Her knowledge, experience and education includes journalism, photography, broadcasting and digital communications.
Devlin Applied Design has produced award-winning sites for: FedEx, BASF, Barclays Bank PLC (iUnits.com), Group Telecom, IMAX Corporation, and GE Appliances Canada. Devlin provides a complete range of internet development services, including application development, interface design, usability analysis, e-business strategy, web animation and DECISION ROOM (Devlin's online colloborative tool).
Catharine's unique contribution to the digital industry is her unstoppable drive toward the digitization of work processes. She has spoken at many industry events, most recently at Oracle AppsWorld and Sheridan's Digital Media Innovations Conference.
